JJ300B+ECC99 are selected as the best tubes for the best sound. In the beginning we have used JJ300B with 6SN7 as drive-voltage amplification but since JJ Electronic has introduced its newest ECC99 double triode with almost triple current capability and very low distorsion, 6SN7 could not compete any more.

Pure single-ended design with DC coupled first to second stage and Lundahl interstage transformer on the driver stage for maximum resolution and lowest natural spectrum distortion. Total Harmonic Distorsion is up to five times lower with Interstage transformer! Also output power is 25% higher with clever implementation of 300B grid current controll circuit thanks to Interstage transformer again. No SRPP, no Mu-followers, no Cathode followers are employed as they have less natural sonics.

Output transformers are custom manufactured in Italy and hand tuned in our workshop for better performance than most costly brands, low distorsion, flat frequency response and no-resonances! Their weight is 3,5 Kg of high quality iron and multisection copper windings, so You can get low distorsion all the way down at 20 Hz! And yes, they have 4 and 8 ohm output sections for better matching to Your speakers.

Capacitors:

We have chosen Mundorf audio capacitors and Carbon-foil resistors in sound-critical places for our private listening and that is what You will get. Also, for extra price, You can order any other capacitor or resistor You like.

Mounting:

To reduce microphonics and hum every tube, transformer, inductor and chasis base plate are mounted on a custom made rubber support.

Hand wired by experienced craftsmen keeping it as short and as thin as possible, most of the time with components own wires.

Connectors:

Quality gold plated input connectors and gold plated speaker terminals are standard

Power supply:

Yes, we tried tube rectifiers and it is OK if Your speakers are 100dB/1W/1m or more. For less sensitive speakers we have choosen fast rectifier diodes with tuned inductor-filter and quality foil capacitors. That way we have better dynamics and better bass while retaining all the sweetnes of tube rectifiers.

Tubes are costly and therefore we are firing our tubes with DC-soft start heating with current limit for extended tube life with separated On-Off and heating only switches. DC-Current sources are heating 300B tubes for best sonics. That way our JJ300B have been reported to last over 14000 of sweet music hours.
